There's no place like home for Davie County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-34 win over the Southeast Guilford Falcons on Thursday. With that victory, the War Eagles brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Davie County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vivian Vaughters, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three steals. Vaughters is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Olivia Smith was another key player, putting up six points along with 12 rebounds and six assists.

The win snapped Davie County's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for Southeast Guilford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Davie County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Reagan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast Guilford, they will head out to take on Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
