Football Game Preview: Fivay Falcons vs. West Port Wolf Pack

The Fivay Falcons will square off against the West Port Wolf Pack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Port took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fivay, who comes in off a win.

West Port better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Fivay's game last Friday is any indication, that's when Fivay really gets things going. The Falcons blew past Cypress Creek 47-21. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Je'Barri Brown was his usual excellent self, rushing for 348 yards and three scores while picking up 17.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. Another player making a difference was Eddie Reiser, who rushed for 38 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fivay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 456 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fivay's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Demarquez Holloman and Treven Jamison, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for West Port's offense. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of Ocoee. The loss continues a trend for the Wolf Pack in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost seven in a row.

The win made it two in a row for Fivay and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for West Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Fivay's way against West Port in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Fivay made off with a 42-22 win. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolf Pack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
