Baseball Recap: Shikellamy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Shikellamy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Shamokin Area Indians. The high-scoring effort was just what the Braves needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Chayse Snyder made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Shikellamy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-10 otherwise. Snyder was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Corbin Stahl, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Shikellamy's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-10 when he doesn't).
