            Volleyball Recap: Douglass Bulldogs vs. Chaparral Roadrunners        
        
		
        
        
            Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They fell  2-0 to the Chaparral Roadrunners. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Roadrunners earlier this season, when they won  2-1.
 Douglass was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  second set very close. The final score came out to 25-18,  25-23.
Their offense was headlined by  De'Nalee White and  Gentry Bergsten, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from  Madison Waggoner and her 12 assists.
 Among those leading the charge was   Aliya Davis, who  had 12  digs and one  assist.
Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 19-17.
 Douglass has already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  defeat against Garden Plain on the 14th. As for Chaparral, they will challenge Caney Valley at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
