Softball Game Preview: National Trail Blazers vs. Botkins Trojans

The National Trail Blazers will take on the Botkins Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. National Trail has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

National Trail lost 16-5 to Twin Valley South on Wednesday. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylor Reynolds was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rowan Conway, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Botkins didn't have quite enough to beat Jackson Center on Monday and fell 11-9. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Botkins' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for National Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
