Basketball Recap: Empowering Others Prep Kings vs. Antonian Prep Apaches
Empowering Others Prep lost against Antonian Prep back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Empowering Others Prep Kings took a 77-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Antonian Prep Apaches. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Apaches are ranked 21st).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Antonian Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamail Garland, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Edison Onwe, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds.

Empowering Others Prep moved to 12-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Antonian Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.
