Softball Recap: Sturgis' Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Sturgis can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Central Bearcats a 16-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 back in April.

Sturgis let Nora Naliwajko and Aubrey Foley run wild. Naliwajko went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Foley went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave Naliwajko a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kloie Wilson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-15. As for Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.
