Softball Recap: Coffee County Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Coffee County Central proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warren County Pioneers, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Red Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lily Norman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Coffee County Central's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Montgomery, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Montgomery has posted since back in March of 2025.

Coffee County Central's victory bumped their record up to 19-16. As for Warren County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-12.

As of now, neither Coffee County Central nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
