Basketball Recap: Milan Comes Up Short

Milan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 33rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 57-23 loss at the hands of the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels. While losing is never fun, the Big Reds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 590th, while the Falcons/Kestrels are ranked 186th).

Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milan will head out to take on Flat Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lenawee Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
