Basketball Recap: St. Henry Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Brayden Heath and Brody Schwartz

St. Henry was the 70-62 winner over Versailles when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Henry Redskins took a 60-46 bruising from the Versailles Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Tigers are ranked 130th).

Despite the defeat, St. Henry had strong showings from Brody Schwartz, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards, and Brayden Heath, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Schwartz a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Austin Zimmerman, who earned four points and six boards.

St. Henry's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Versailles, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Coming up, St. Henry and Memorial will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Versailles does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
