Baseball Recap: Heritage Victorious

Heritage came out on top against Rolesville on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Huskies walked away with a 7-4 win over the Rams. The game was the first time the Huskies have beaten the Rams on their field since June 1, 2021.

Leighton Cash was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Kilgore, who earned three runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 11-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Rolesville, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-15.

As of now, neither Heritage nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
