Rains is 8-1 against Chisum since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rains Wildcats will welcome the Chisum Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Chisum took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rains, who comes in off a win.

Rains is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Commerce on Wednesday as Rains made off with a 20-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Chisum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Mount Vernon, falling 19-2.

Rains' victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-9-1. As for Chisum, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went Rains' way against Chisum in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Rains made off with a 15-0 win. Will Rains repeat their success, or does Chisum have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
