Highland is 8-2 against Gilpin County since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Gilpin County will be up against a hot Highland team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Huskies blew past Union Colony Prep 3-0 on Tuesday.

Highland walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-20.

Gilpin County not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 23rd (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Belleview Christian with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-12.

Highland's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Gilpin County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Highland came out on top in a nail-biter against Gilpin County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
