Baseball Preview: Buckeye Hawks vs. Youngker Roughriders

The Buckeye Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Youngker Roughriders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Buckeye came up short against Desert Edge and fell 8-3. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Scorpions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Maddox Villegas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Youngker entered their tilt with La Joya Community on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fighting Lobos a 10-0 shutout. The Roughriders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Matthew Carroll tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.
