Softball Game Preview: Ludington Orioles vs. Montague Wildcats

Ludington hasn't had much luck against Montague recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Orioles will welcome the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Ludington has given up an average of 13.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ludington is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Fremont, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Montague got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. Everything went their way against Mason County Central as they made off with a 15-7 victory.

Montague secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Chloe Boutell, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Montague was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Ludington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Montague, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-11.
