Softball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

If North Shore was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Humble last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North Shore fell 4-1 to Kingwood on Friday. North Shore has struggled against Kingwood recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Jada Duncan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases.

North Shore now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Kingwood, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Shore will welcome Goose Creek Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Goose Creek Memorial's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so North Shore's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kingwood, they will be playing at home against Atascocita at 6:30 p.m. on March 14th.
