Volleyball Recap: Gig Harbor Find Success

Gig Harbor had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Monroe Bearcats by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tides.

Gig Harbor had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-22.

Gig Harbor's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

Gig Harbor will face off against Lakes at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
