Basketball Game Preview: Mooresville Pioneers vs. Danville Warriors

The Mooresville Pioneers will challenge the Danville Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mooresville managed to slip by Cathedral the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pioneers came up short against the Fighting Irish on Thursday, falling 55-32. The Pioneers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Mooresville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Halle Moore posted 14 points and six boards. Bri Addair also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Danville suffered their biggest defeat since November 15, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt an 81-39 loss at the hands of Plainfield. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Quakers: they've now lost five in a row.

Danville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mooresville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
