Softball Game Preview: Exeter Monarchs vs. Washington Union Panthers

The Exeter Monarchs will head out to take on the Washington Union Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Exeter saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of South.

Exeter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leila Whitworth, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Washington Union fell victim to Rio Linda and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 11-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Exeter dropped their record down to 12-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Washington Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Exeter came out on top in a nail-biter against Washington Union when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
