Preview: Clyde vs. Ballinger

This week, Clyde and Ballinger square off against each other on Friday at 7:30 PM. Clyde will get to test out the enthusiasm of its fans as it plays its first home game of the season.

After flying high the game before (49 points), Clyde faltered in its previous match. It has to be hurting after the devastating 35 - 6 defeat at the hands of Eastland last game. Sophomore running back Donovan Gomez didn't go down without a fight, though. He put up some defensive resistance with 16 tackles.

Meanwhile, Ballinger brought the heat last game after its low-scoring effort (zero points) in the match before. It crushed Grape Creek last week, winning 44 - 6. Senior quarterback Xavier Nunez was especially active in the win, finding the endzone an impressive three times.

Clyde's defeat and Ballinger's victory put them both at 1-1. We'll see if Ballinger can snag another victory or if Clyde will turn things around for itself.
