Basketball Recap: American Heritage Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact American Heritage can now relate to. They fell 74-65 to the King's Academy Lions on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (64), the Stallions still had to take the loss.

Javian Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for King's Academy, dropping a double-double on 37 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. Matt Mcpherson was another key player, going 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

American Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for King's Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

American Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for King's Academy, they will square off against Inlet Grove on Friday. King's Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
