Soccer Game Preview: Roaring Fork vs. Basalt

The Roaring Fork Rams will challenge the Basalt Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roaring Fork will be strutting in after a win while Basalt will be coming in after a defeat.

Roaring Fork's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Glenwood Springs 8-0.

Roaring Fork's offense was hitting the Demons from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Carley Crownhart led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Basalt managed to keep up with Vail Mountain until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Longhorns lost 3-0 to the Gore Rangers.

Roaring Fork's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-2. As for Basalt, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Everything went Roaring Fork's way against Basalt when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Roaring Fork made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
