Pleasant Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Chico since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will welcome the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Pleasant Valley sitting on 11 straight victories and Chico on seven.
Pleasant Valley barely beat Shasta the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Wolves on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Alissa Snipes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Thurman, who fired off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Carisma Ta'Amai was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Pleasant Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Chico was able to grind out a solid win over Red Bluff on Friday, taking the game 6-2.
Addi Hosier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Murphy, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Pleasant Valley pushed their record up to 16-5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Chico, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pleasant Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Chico struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
