Basketball Recap: Brazosport Extends Winning Streak to Two

El Campo came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Brazosport, but Deja El-Amin wouldn't allow it. The Brazosport Exporters simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the El Campo Ricebirds 74-46 thanks in part to El-Amin, who almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Sanii Player was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (five).

The win made it two in a row for Brazosport and bumps their season record up to 15-12. As for El Campo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.

Brazosport will head out to face off against La Marque at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Brazosport has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for El Campo, they will be playing at home against Sweeny at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. El Campo is facing Sweeny at the right time seeing as Sweeny is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
