Baseball Recap: Shelby County Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shelby County can now relate to. They fell just short of the Marbury Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Wildcats seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Shelby County's loss dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Marbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 24 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marbury beat Shelby County by a score of 5-1 later that day.
