Football Game Preview: Sheldon Orabs vs. Cherokee Washington Braves

The Sheldon Orabs will venture away from home to face off against the Cherokee Washington Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sheldon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Central Lyon/George-Little Rock on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 18-0 to the Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Orabs in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Cherokee Washington entered their tilt with Western Christian on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 56-36 margin over the Wolfpack. The Braves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cherokee Washington, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Sheldon was dealt a bruising 49-6 loss at the hands of Cherokee Washington when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Orabs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
