If Windsor Charter Academy was riding high fresh off their 85-57 takedown of University last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds were beaten by the Resurrection Christian Cougars 77-43 on Saturday. The Firebirds' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Windsor Charter Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kellen Ball, who posted ten points. Andrew Schams was another key player, putting up nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Resurrection Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Graham Riggs, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Riggs has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Yoder, who went 7-for-11 en route to 21 points and six assists.

Windsor Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 21-2. As for Resurrection Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 23-0.

Windsor Charter Academy and Resurrection Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. Windsor Charter Academy (ranked 14th) will meet Fountain Valley (ranked 186th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Windsor Charter Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Resurrection Christian will face off against Ignacio at 4:00 p.m. on Friday up 170 places (7 vs. 177).
