Bellefonte's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Penns Valley Area Rams an 11-0 shutout. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Peyton Vancas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bellefonte is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. Vancas was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Caleb Auman was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan Mattern, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Bellefonte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Bellefonte now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Penns Valley Area, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
