Holy Cross Lutheran Academy came up short against Circle Christian on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Holy Cross Lutheran Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Circle Christian's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, International Community lost 3-0 to Bishop Moore on Tuesday.

International Community was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy will have to keep a close watch on Katie Parker and Ella Jane DeLoach, a pair of players who had a big impact on International Community's prior game. Parker had nine digs and one assist, while DeLoach had 16 digs and 11 kills. DeLoach is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had nine or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

International Community's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.
