Basketball Recap: Fremgen Jackson Key Part of a Team Effort in Cougars Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Keys Gate, Cushman was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 victory over the Academy for Innovative Education Aviators. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cushman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fremgen Jackson, who posted 12 points. Rex Feldman was another key player, putting up nine points.

Cushman has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Academy for Innovative Education, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Cushman has already played their next game, a 76-33 win against Colonial Christian on the 13th. As for Academy for Innovative Education, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-56 victory against Somerset College Prepartory Academy South on the 13th.
