Baseball Recap: Clinton County Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Clinton County's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Wayne County Cardinals on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clinton County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Wayne County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton County will face off against Monroe County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wayne County, they will head out to face off against Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
