Softball Recap: Bohemia Manor Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Bohemia Manor made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Elkton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles put the hurt on the Golden Elks with a sharp 18-1 victory on Monday. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.

Lyla Wescoat (2027) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Bohemia Manor got a massive performance out of Elizabeth Marcum (2027), who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kylee Bergman (2025) Salisbury, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Bohemia Manor, bringing their record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Elkton, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8.
