Baseball Game Preview: Racine Case Eagles vs. Indian Trail Hawks

For the second straight game, Racine Case will face off against Indian Trail. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Racine Case is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Indian Trail just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 9-2 to the Hawks.

For Indian Trail's part, Connor Peck looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Peck also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Hawks are undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Indian Trail got a massive performance out of Jack Zeller, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Cade Minatto was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs.

Racine Case's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Indian Trail, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Racine Case has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Indian Trail struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
