Baseball Game Preview: Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils vs. Waynesboro Indians

The Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Waynesboro Indians at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Greencastle-Antrim has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Greencastle-Antrim sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Boiling Springs.

Ryder Linn looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Carter McCauley was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Landon Myers also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Waynesboro fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Northern York on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 3-2.

Greencastle-Antrim now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Waynesboro, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Greencastle-Antrim couldn't quite finish off Waynesboro in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
