With a playoff win on the line, Resurrection Catholic rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Noxapater Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 7th.

Resurrection Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Noxapater, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-5.

Looking ahead, Resurrection Catholic will face off against Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tartars will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Noxapater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
