Football Recap: Mays Raiders vs. Jonesboro Cardinals
On Wednesday, the Mays Raiders ended up a good deal behind the Jonesboro Cardinals and lost 26-12. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jonesboro found their leader in sophomore Brianna Mason, who threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Those 85 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Mason. Skky Stampley also deserves a mention for her punt return touchdown.
Mays' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Jonesboro, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
As of now, neither Mays nor Jonesboro have any future games scheduled.
