Soccer Game Preview: St. Paul's vs. Cushing Academy

The St. Paul's Big Red are taking a road trip to square off against the Cushing Academy Penguins at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Paul's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, St. Paul's turned things around against Holderness on Wednesday. They and the Bulls finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time St. Paul's have been dealt a draw since back in September.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five match, Cushing Academy brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Marianapolis Prep on Wednesday. The matchup was close at halftime, but Cushing Academy turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-8-2. St. Paul's draw makes their record 0-7-2 this season.
