Basketball Game Preview: Francis W. Parker Colonels vs. Niles Notre Dame Dons

The Francis W. Parker Colonels will head out to take on the Niles Notre Dame Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Francis W. Parker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.

Francis W. Parker hadn't beaten Chicago University on the road since February 13, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Colonels secured a 51-46 W over the Maroons.

Francis W. Parker found their leader in sophomore Julian Pantoja, who posted 23 points and five rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for Pantoja. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Harris, who had 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Niles Notre Dame came up short against St. Patrick on Friday and fell 45-36. The Dons have struggled against the Shamrocks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Niles Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Francis W. Parker, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Francis W. Parker took a serious blow against Niles Notre Dame when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 73-30. Can the Colonels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
