Basketball Recap: Unalaska Comes Up Short

Unalaska had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-2 to make it six. They were beaten by the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles 67-35. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Cook Inlet Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 68.2 points this season.

Cook Inlet Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alek McGarry led the charge by dropping a triple-double with 21 points, ten boards, and ten assists. McGarry is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Brandt Rollman was another key player, putting up 22 points.

Unalaska has already played their next matchup (against Ninilchik), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they will challenge Nanwalek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
