Football Recap: Bremen Comes Up Short

Bremen was the 44-14 winner over Oak Lawn when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Braves took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Friday.

Despite the loss, Bremen still got an impressive performance from Kishawn Gantt, who picked up 45 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Kaeden Pettis was another key player, throwing for 175 yards and a pair of TDs.

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Oak Lawn, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Bremen will face off against Thornton Fractional North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves will be up against the Meteors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oak Lawn, they will challenge Argo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
