            Football Recap: Fairfield Tigers vs. Bibb County Choctaws        
        
		
        
        
            Fairfield managed to slip by Bibb County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost  60-34 to the Choctaws on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Choctaws are ranked 111th).

 Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Justin Murray, who rushed for 75 yards and a pair of  scores, and also picked up 82 receiving yards and one  touchdown. Fairfield also got help from  Tiyon Clifton, who showed off his sure hands for 130  receiving yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Fairfield and  nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Bibb County, their win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fairfield is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Oak Grove  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. That  matchup will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Murray and  Wiley Hicks. Meanwhile, Bibb County will  square off against  rival Pleasant Grove  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
