River City entered their tilt with Pioneer on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They didn't even let the Patriots on the board, marking their second-straight 3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

River City never let Pioneer on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-22.

River City's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. As for Pioneer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

River City will challenge Rodriguez at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pioneer, they will be playing at home against Sacramento at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
