Baseball Recap: Belchertown Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pope Francis Prep, Belchertown was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Chicopee Comp Colts. This was payback for the Orioles, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Josh Misiaszek, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Austin Raymer also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

With the win, Belchertown broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Chicopee Comp, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belchertown will host Holyoke at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Ludlow at 11:00 a.m.
