Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Beckville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Augustine Wolves on Friday. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Beckville lost, don't look at Jorden Prince. Despite the final result, he rushed for 208 yards and two scores. Another player making a difference was Rudy Watts, who gained 108 total yards.

Max Renfro had a dynamite game For San Augustine., throwing for 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 82 yards and one TD on only five carries. Renfro showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 59 yards. D'Adrian Renfro was another key player, gaining 91 total yards and two touchdowns.

Beckville's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for San Augustine, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.
