Recap: South Haven Christian vs. West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors

South Haven Christian's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against West Florida Baptist Academy by a score of 58-48. That's another feather in the cap for South Haven Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Aliya Gagliano was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of South Haven Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Alexis Palmore, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Pearce, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Pearce has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Enfinger, who scored 16 points.

South Haven Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

South Haven Christian will head out on the road to take on Pleasant View Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, West Florida Baptist Academy and Pensacola Catholic will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pensacola Catholic is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
