Softball Recap: Unioto Shermans vs. Washington Blue Lions        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Unioto gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Washington Blue Lions as the Unioto Shermans made off with  a  37-1 win. Unioto's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Hannah Hull was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Hull was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  doubles and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Abbie Marshall, who  fired off four  home runs, seven  runs,  and nine  RBI while  getting on base  in all seven of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Ava Dettwiller, who  fired off three  home runs and eight  RBI while  getting on base  in six of her seven plate appearances.
 Unioto has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season. As for Washington, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record  this season.
 Unioto will be playing in front of their home fans against Piketon at 5:15  p.m.  on Monday. Unioto is on a 19-game streak of home wins, Piketon a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for Washington, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Jackson at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Jackson's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so Washington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
