Recap: El Camino Eagles vs. Del Campo Cougars
The El Camino Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 60-51 win over Del Campo. The victory was just what El Camino needed coming off of a 98-52 defeat in their prior contest.
El Camino's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Demetrious Perry led the charge by scoring 23 points along with three steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Justin Watts, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Del Campo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dean Snow, who scored 12 points. Niko Wedderburn was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
El Camino's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11. As for Del Campo, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
