The Denton Broncos are taking a road trip to square off against the Roosevelt Mustangs at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Denton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.

Denton is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Hillcrest: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Broncos blew the Panthers out of the water with a 69-36 final score. With the Broncos ahead 34-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Denton relied on the efforts of Lojok Loliwa, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards, and Ethan Sheats, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Sheats a new career-high. Ethan Ashu was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Denton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt beat Buffalo 56-47 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Denton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Denton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Roosevelt in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
