Football Game Preview: Kaufman Lions vs. Corsicana Tigers + How To Watch

The Kaufman Lions will square off against the Corsicana Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kaufman is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Kaufman managed to slip by Poteet the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 31-7 to the Pirates on Friday. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Elijah Rose put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown.

Kaufman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Dominik Carrillo.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Corsicana took on Greenville on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Lions 38-14. That looming 38-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Corsicana now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kaufman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Kaufman strolled past Corsicana in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 42-28. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
