St. Regis came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Darby, but McCoy Townsend wouldn't allow it. Darby snuck past St. Regis with a 40-34 victory on Friday thanks in part to Townsend, who rushed for 313 yards and six TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Townsend is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 148 every time he's taken the field this season.

Darby's defensive line made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Oliver Long with 2.5 sacks.

Darby pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for St. Regis, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Darby will venture away from home to take on Seeley-Swan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Blackhawks have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for St. Regis, they will host Troy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
